When are the classes being held?

Classes are on the following dates, all happening from 11:00-11:45am:

  • Tuesday, July 13

  • Wednesday, July 14

  • Friday, August 6

  • Wednesday, August 25

  • Tuesday, August 31

Where in the park are the classes taking place?

Classes will take place in Wilcox Park, Westerly, Rhode Island in a grassy, shaded area of the park just north of the pond. The closest parking is on High Street, by the YMCA. Our outdoor music class is completely accessible for families using strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, and other wheeled mobility devices.

Will there be rain dates?

If the weather is poor or threatening, Little Voices in the Park will be held at the George Kent Performance Hall at 119 High Street in Westerly-- Just a short walk from the park! Our Facebook page will be updated by 9am the morning of to let everyone know where the class will take place - either in the park, or in the hall.

How much does a class cost?

Little Voices in the Park is being offered throughout the summer for free. No registration or payment is required.

What should I bring?

Families are invited to bring a blanket to sit on and watch the class along with their little musician. There are also benches nearby. If a child has a favorite instrument, toy, or blanket, they can absolutely bring it. Whatever makes them feel comfortable!

What ages can participate in this class?

The Little Voices program at the Chorus of Westerly is geared for children from birth to age 7, however older siblings are welcome to join! These classes are geared towards a general, young audience, rather than our classes during the academic year which have been geared towards specific age ranges. All are welcome, we're happy to make music with everyone!
