Dawn Song

Join Artistic Associate Kathryn Aaron in the resonant and contemplative space of George Kent Hall for a week of meditative sunrise chant accessible to singers of all skill levels - no experience necessary.

This year's Dawn Song session is once again a week long event where the basics of reading square note notation will be explored. Celebrate a little Christmas in July as the chants of Christmastide, the music of Hildegard von Bingen and the Gregorian chant used during the events of the recent conclave will be featured. No previous chant experience necessary, and beginner friendly- all are welcome.

Dawn Song 2025 runs from July 21-July 25 from 7 am to 8 am each day. The Full Week package allows you to attend all sessions of Dawn Song 2025, and the Daily Drop In rate allows you to attend one session of Dawn Song 2025 per purchase.

Singers in the Symphonic Chorus or Foundations Chorus who have paid their Season 67 dues may participate in Dawn Song, free of charge. Email isobel@chorusofwesterly.org to register.
