Other Children's Program Offerings

Summer Chorus Camp

Since 1961, the Chorus of Westerly has offered a weeklong pre-season camp for singers ages 7-18.

Held at the Episcopal Conference Center in Pascoag, RI, Chorus Camp gives young singers an oppurtunity to prepare for the upcoming season while forming lasting friendships, growing their musicianship, and developing their identity as a member of the larger organization - and having a blast doing it. Chorus Camp is a no-phones, all-fun organizational tradition that has fostered treasured memories for singers for generations.

It is strongly encouraged that all of our Children's Program participants attend Camp. Tuition is $600, but full and partial tuition scholarships are available for all of our young singers - we want everyone who would like to attend camp to be able to do so.

Teen Night

A monthly social and musical hangout for singers ages 14 and up!

Once a month, teenage singers gather with staff at the hall to play games, bond with their fellow singers, and have an oppurtunity for reflection on this unique time in their musical and personal lives. This also gives them a chance to engage with Chorus staff as burgeoning adult singers - plus, a much-loved Domino's pizza dinner, on the Chorus!

Field Trips

At least once per year, singers 14 and up attend a professional performance with Chorus staff

Recent outings have included Brahms' "German Requiem" at Boston's Handel & Haydn Society, and BLANK. The Chorus coordinates with staff and parent chaperones to provide transport.
